Norwegian pop band A-Ha has always been distinguishable for its restraint and diligence. Comparing with other pop musicians, the band has never been in hurry with releasing new albums and due to what they managed to record only nine studio works in nearly three decades. Obviously, the musicians thought that less material would sound more qualitatively and intriguingly, thus they worked tediously on every set trying to make every record exclusive and unique. Not so long ago David Gray introduced his eighth studio work “Draw The Line”, which signified the smooth shift from classical rock to more mannered folk rock. A lot of listeners classified the set as a come back to Gray’s origins, but truly it wasn’t so. “Draw The Line” was desired to show singer’s inner world and at the same time to slightly change the style of sounding. Curiously enough, but the experiments lived up to listeners’ expectations. Emotions, feelings and lifelike stories along with pleasant tunes made the set really worthy listening. Read more

Midnight Juggernauts, "The Crystal Axis" (Special Edition)

After a chain of solitary singles and short sets, Australian electronic band Midnight Juggernauts decided to record more mature studio work thereby to show, that they have truly established themselves as professional musicians.  Having already released a debut set “Dystopia” which won praise, the band worked hardly during three years and recorded 12 tracks, which were united under the title “The Crystal Axis”. The set sounds more seriously and more deliberately, it has a ground based on emotions, feelings and thoughts as opposed to the debut, which sounded like a cosmic journey with unreal themes and space tunes.
